About this tool
Time Zone Converter shows what a time in one place means everywhere else that matters to you. It starts from your own time zone; pick a date and time (or press Now), then add the cities you work with. Each city shows its local time, the date (with “next day” or “previous day” when it changes), its UTC offset and the difference from your time, plus a label telling you whether it falls in working hours, early morning, evening or night, so finding a meeting slot takes seconds. Search by city, country or time zone name; a built-in list covers the world’s major cities instantly, and other places can be found with Google place search. You can also open a map and click anywhere to see its local time, then add it or convert from it. Copy all the times as a neat summary for a meeting invite or chat message. Your list of cities is remembered in your browser. Conversions use your browser’s time zone database, so daylight saving changes are always applied correctly, including in places that change on different dates.

Avoid the classic mistakes
A morning meeting in the US is often the evening before or after in Asia.
The US and Europe change clocks on different dates; recheck in March, October and November.
Say “9 am New York time” rather than “EST”, which is wrong half the year.
Copy all times into the invite so everyone sees their own.
If someone always takes late calls, rotate the slot.
