About Salary Calculator

Salary Calculator answers two questions. First: what should I ask for? Enter your current fixed and variable pay and the increase you want, and it gives you three numbers: a walk-away figure (the least you would accept), a target, and an opening ask about 10% above your target so you have room to negotiate. You also see the monthly amount before tax. Second: what is this offer worth? Enter the base salary, bonus percentage, joining bonus, employer retirement contribution (PF, 401(k) match or pension), equity grant and vesting period, and other yearly benefits. The calculator shows the yearly value you can expect every year, the first-year total with the joining bonus, and how the offer compares with your current pay. It works in Indian rupees with lakh formatting and LPA, US dollars, euros, pounds and other currencies, picking a sensible default for your region. Your figures are remembered in this browser only. All amounts are before tax, and equity is valued at today’s price.
